This particular variation of Marzipan Mabroume features a blend of prized East Mediterranean almonds and Aleppo pistachio. It mimics the traditional Mabroume baklava, consisting of two layers of marzipan dough with a rich layer of pistachios in the middle. These delectable treats are crafted in Syria's historic Aleppo, in a renowned shop that has been in operation since 1963. We regularly transport them by air to California every week.

I ordered a selection of these beautiful treats as a gift for a friend. They are EXACTLY as pictured and they taste very good, very fresh. I was worried because they shipped to me during very very hot weateher but there were no issues. Each piece is individually wrapped for a lovely presentation. Highly recommended!
