These pastries are handmade by the renowned Mahrousseh bakery, established in 1898 and still operating in Aleppo, Syria. Known for its uncompromising quality and deep-rooted legacy, Mahrousseh uses only the finest ingredients, including pure Syrian ghee, premium pistachios, and sun-ripened dates, to craft this nostalgic assortment.

We import them fresh weekly by air, ensuring you receive them just as they were meant to be enjoyed—authentic, fragrant, and full of heritage.

The nougat’s and malban were ok but the pastries had an off unpleasant flavor. In addition, they were dry and old tasting. Definitely will not buy again

From pictures your product looks impressive… sadly the trays arrived and I think it was made for small people ! And every things tasted old and stale

First, regarding the portion size: all of our products are clearly advertised and sold by weight, not by size or volume. This is specified on our website and packaging. I wasn’t sure what you meant by 'small people,' but if you were expecting more product, it's possible there was some misunderstanding. We’ll review the product page again to ensure everything is clearly communicated.

As for the freshness: the batch you received was produced during the week of April 21 in Aleppo, Syria. We received it the week of April 26, and your order was delivered on May 7. That’s just over two weeks from kitchen to doorstep, an incredibly fast turnaround for handmade goods imported from overseas. We take pride in offering some of the freshest possible sweets available outside of Syria.
